IDAHOT 2016

This year, SGRainbow commemorated the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) with the theme of LOVE YOUR SELF. We had 4 initiatives to celebrate this:

LOVE YOUR BODY
Happened from 2 - 14 May 2016
In this campaign, we celebrate the diversity of uniqueness in each person’s looks and appearances. We invite you to share your own personal story on your perceptions of “body image”, create an understanding & acceptance of others while learning to embrace diversity and inclusivity. Let us hear your story, and let’s share them with the world!

LOVE YOUR MIND: “JOT.SNAP”
Happened on 7 May 2016 @ selected locations*
We break out the chalkboards once again for yet another photo campaign! This time, we ask you to jot down your thoughts on your mental well-being and state of mind, and we snap a pic of what you’ve written. This campaign will happen at selected locations, so look out for us on your random night out! Bring your friends along and don’t forget to say “cheese!”

LOVE YOUR HEART: “Blaze 2: Cycle To Coney”
Happened on 14 May 2016
When’s the last time you were out in the park? Join us as we explore Coney Island by bicycle! Here’s your chance to get back in touch with nature, and to get that heart pumping and fighting fit!

LOVE YOUR SOUL: Bearspectives 2
Happened from 2 - 14 May 2016 @ selected locations*
Do you like to express yourself through art? If you do, we invite you to explore that creative side of you! At selected locations, we have copies of a brand new Bear picture for you to draw on as you would like - dress it, drag it up, maybe give it a crown - whatever you feel best represents you; following which, tell us in no more than 100 words why you’ve decorated your Bear the way you have. The best ones will be put up on display at SGRainbow’s booth at PinkDot 2016 on June 4th! We can’t wait to see what all of you come up with!

IDAHOT 2016: 17 May 2016

On this day to commemorate the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT), we released a video montage to sum up this year’s campaign. Share it with your friends, and be proud of your achievements to be true and love your ownself.
